I seriously got the hookups through my work. They did some design work for the band Neon Trees (which is from Utah, funny) so the band gave our studio free VIP tickets to the show. It was so awesome, we had our own table on the balcony at a place called Webster Hall. We got to mingle with the bands after the show and it was such a fun thing to experience in NYC. It really is all about who you know:)
